[Note: The VRs err in reporting this as the son. It is the father. The original isn't online but the town copy is p. 107: "John Town Dyed on ye 23th of March 1713/4". See also secondary sources which apply this date to the father. Of course 28 Mar is past the beginning of the year, 25 Mar, so does not need double-dating.]

Will of "John Town Sen'r of Topsfield ... very weak & ill in body", dated 25 Mar 1714, codicil 26 Mar 1714, proved 3 May 1714, names my two sons John & Bartholomew; my daughter Elizabeth; my father deceased; wife Abigail Town. Wife Abigail to be executrix, brother Joseph Town and friend Serj. John Curtis to be overseers.
