Eben p. 83: Will dated 5 sept 1747 and proved 30 Dec 1747 mentions widow Elizabeth, dau Mary, son Nehemiah to be sole executor, son Ezra, minor.

Ezra Putnam, Sr was of Middleton and was styled "yoeman". He bought land in Topsfield from his brothers and cousins. Topsfield then included part of Middleton. The farms of Deacon Edward Putnam and his sons are all in that part of what is now Middleton near Danvers, and some crossing the Danvers line. Deacon Edward gave each of his sons a farm. To Isaac, within a week of his removal to Sutton, he gave the homestead. Isaac sold to Ezra.
