Robert Kinsman emigrated in 1634

It is noticed that the Wilts branch of the family spell their name Kingsman (the Northampton line not using a "g"), and in the list of passengers the Emigrant Robert's name is spelled Kinsman, although he dropped the "g" after coming to America.
There are also much repitition in America of the descendants of the Emigrant, for many generations, of some of the old Christian names of the Wiltshire branch.
These facts feed to presumption that ancestor Robert Kinsman, came from Wiltshire and was the son of Robert who died there in 1647. Should future investigation prove this theory, our family is traced to the Northampton family of the 14th century who bore the coat of arms.

Robert Kinsman, the Emigrant
Robert Kinsman or Kingsman
came on ship "Mary & John" of London, Robert Sayres master, sailing from Southampton, England, March 1634 arriving Boston following May,
Many of the passengers were early settlers of Newbury and vicinity.
Robert Kinsman with passengers of Mary & John made his way to Agawam, or Ipswich, and his name found there in 1635.
He stayed in Ipswich and died there Jan 28, 1664.
