He married Mary Hutchinson in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts. They had nine children. Their fourth was Abigail.
Thomas was fence-viewer in Newbury, 1661, 66, 75, 78 and 80. He was "chosen to carry votes to Salem" 1665-1674; "Selectman" 1665, 1675, '78: Highway Surveyor, 1666-1667; Way-warden, 1674-1679; and "Trial Juror", 1675-1679.
In 1678, Thomas took oath of allegiance at Newbury. He was on town committees 1673-1680 and Tything man, 1679-1681. In church difficulties, he sided against Parson Parker.
Thomas died 22 Oct 1688 in Newbury, Massachusetts.
His will dated March 20, 1686-1687, was witnessed by Richard Dol, Sr., and Henry Short, with his wife, Mary, executrix. He was evidently a man of very handsome estate, provided liberally for all his children, who were all successful and prosperous people.
Mary did remarry a second time to William Watson on 5 Feb 1694/5. William died on 27 Jun 1710 in Boxford, MA. Mary died 8 Dec 1715 in Boxford, Massachusetts at age 85.
