Joseph Goddard, son of William and Elizabeth Miles Goddard was born about 1655 in London, England.[1][2] The date given as a birthdate at the creation of this profile might be a Christening Date similar to those of his brothers, William and Robert. He was baptised at All Hallows Bread Street in London, England on 13 July 1656. The parish register named his parents as William and Elizabeth. [3]
Joseph came to New England with his mother and two brothers in 1666.[2] Joseph Goddard married Deborah Treadway March 25, 1680 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.[4] Joseph and Deborah settled in Brookline, Massachusetts. They had four sons: Joseph, James, Robert and John and two daughters: Elizabeth and Deborah.[2] Joseph died July 25, 1728 at the age of 73 and was buried in Walnut Street Cemetery, Brookline, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts.[5]
