His (James (6)) eldest s., James (7), m. 1st, Anna (7), dau of Jotham (6) Meriam, by whom he had one ch., Adolphus (8) Meriam. He m. 2d, Zaruia Rich of Milford, N.Y., where he resided some years and then moved to Fort Wayne, Ind., where he d., and near where some of his descendants still live.
