Evert Duyckinck

Evert Duyckinck (Duycking, Duyckingh, Duychens, Duiken, Duicking) came to America about 1638 from Borken, a village of North Brabant, Holland.
He was at service of the Dutch West Indies Company and in 1840 was stationed at Fort Hope near now Hartford, CT.
He was a limner (portrait painter), painter, glazier, or burner of glass.
on Sept 9, 1646 he married Hendrickje Simons from Noordthorn. They lived in New York City. He became a man of considerable property in New York City. He was the Fire Warden in 1674 and was admitted as a freeman of City of New York in 1698.
He died about 1702.
