She married Hamilton Kerr on 8 Dec 1869 in Manhattan. Hamilton became quite wealthy from operating the brewery his father started. He died in 1880 and she inhertited one third of his estate and continued to run the brewery business with her father, Addison Smith. Addison died about 1893.
