Birth

Grace is estimated to have been born in 1617 in Boxford, Berkshire, England. This date is based on the estimated (1638) birth of her first child.
Marriage

Grace was married to Robert Andrews, a carpenter, around 1637, based on the estimated birth of daughter Mary. He died in 1668, and Grace did not remarry.

Children of Robert and Grace Andrews: Robert and Grace neglected to register their children's birth in the town records. Joseph and Ruth's births were noted in the court records.

The widow Grace passed away in Topsfield, Essex, Massachusetts, 25 Dec 1702.
The town record says: Gras Andrus, widow, d. Dec 25 [1700-01?][3] This has of course led to dates of 1700 and 1701.
An article in The Essex Antiquarian says: Grace died 25 Dec 1702[4]
Grace made a will dated the fourth day of September 1699 (10th year of the reign of King William). After the usual beginning Grace makes the following bequests[5]
to son Thomas a table, bench and 5s in moneyto sons John & Joseph Andrews twenty pounds in money that she is owedto daughter Mary Cumins 5 pounds in moneyto daughter Elizabeth Symonds 5 pounds in moneyto daughter Hannah Peabody 5 pounds in moneyto daughter Rebecca Mearbell 5 pounds in moneyto daughter Sarah Woods 5 pounds in moneyto daughter Ruth ffelphs a pair of Oxen in the lieu of 5 pounds which she has already receivedto grandchild Elizabeth Marbell her lesser feather bed and her least bolsterthe remainder of the household goods (all) are to be divided among her six daughters equally.to three daughters in law twenty s. in money a piece.two youngest sons John Andrews and Joseph Andrews named executors. Grace signed with her mark.
