David Jameson entered the American Revolution in his 16th year and served until the close of the war. He was in Washington's command. He is buried on the Mr Billy Buchuer's farm, Pane Ridge, Bourbon Co, KY.
The records in Washington show that David Jameson served as private in the 5th Co., 2nd New Jersey Regt. Commanded by Lieut Col F. Barber, Revolutionary War. His name appears on the company's muster roll for January and February 1783. The records also show that he served as a private in the 3rd Co, Runnings Battalion of the New Jersey troops, commanded by Lieut Jo Cunnings, His name appears in the company's muster roll for March and April 1783 with the remark "Term of enlistment - war". Was not a pensioner.
