David Putnam served in the revolution. Ensign David Putnam obtained his commission in 1781, in the 14th company, 9th regiment New Hampshire Militia. In 1786-87-1794 he was constable. He was the pioneer Baptist in Lyndeborough, New Hampshire, and was extremely active and instrumental in establishing a church there.
