Eben p. 63: Eben quotes an incriptionn in Wadsworth Cemetery: "the oldest inscription in the Wordsworth Burying Ground reads: 'Here Lyes ye Body of Elizabeth, ye Wife of Jonathan Putnam, aged about 22 years. Deceased ye 8th of August, 1682." This gravestone was originally faced with lead.
