Abigail Weeks was married to Jonathan Hatch, Jr on 4 Dec 1676 at Barnstable or Falmouth, Plymouth Colony.[1] There are secondary sources which state they married on Martha's Vineyard, but there is no primary source for this location, while there is for Barnstable & Falmouth. Jonathan was the son of Jonathan Hatch and Sarah Rowley, [2]
Abigail Weeks Hatch died in Falmouth, Barnstable County, sometime after 1696 (birth of last child) . She was buried in the Old Burying Ground, in Falmouth.
Research Notes
The FAG memorial has her name as "Abigail Bethia Weeks Hatch". This is a result of the author of the work, Genealogical Notes of Barnstable Families, Amos Otis, who attributes the wife of Jonathan Hatch III, Bethia Hatch, to Jonathan Jr.[2] Otis also errors in stating that the marriage of Abigail & Jonathan Jr. gives her name as "Elizabeth".[2] As a result, many online trees have Abigail's name as "Abigail Elizabeth Bethia Weeks Hatch". She was never Elizabeth nor Bethia.

NOTE: This work is the primary origin for the confusion around Wm.'s wife, Abigail Weeks. The author attributes the wife of Jonathan Hatch III, Bethia Nye, as a wife to Jonathan Jr. The author also wrongly states the marriage record for Wm. & Abigail, has her given name as "Elizabeth", but this demonstrably false.
