He appeared in the 1800 census in Charlestown (1655), 11011 00111. He died on 20 Aug 1814 in Charlestown, NH (1656, 490, 1657). He was buried Forest Hill Cemetery in Charlestown, MA (1658). He fought in the French and Indian Wars in the early 1750's. After the war he moved to Luneburg, MA. In 1759, he and his family moved to Charlestown, NH and settled on his original farm. In 1771 they moved to Acworth, NH. He was a justice of the peace, built the first gristmill, became a deacon of the church, and was a town moderator and selectman through the latter 1770's during the war. He fought in Revolution at Bennington among other places. After the was, he moved to Charlestown where he remained until death.

He was married to Rachel Wetherbee (dau of Ephraim Wetherbee and Joanna Bellows) on 24 Jan 1754 in Luneburg, Worcester, MA(1659, 1660). The purpose of marriage was entered in Luneburg on 5 January 1754. Rachel was born on 3 Apr 1733 in Luneburg (1661, 1662). She died in her 76th year. She was buried Forest Hill Cemetery at Charlestown, MA (1665). Their children:

Hepsibeth born 2 Feb 1775 in Luneburg, MA (1666, 1667). The vital record has her name spelled Hephzibah.
Susannah born 16 Sep 1756 in Luneburg, MA (1668, 1669).
Seth born 16 Sep 1756 in Luneburg, MA (1670, 1671. His gravestone erected in 1747 states that he was born in Charlestown, NH in 1758. He died on 3 Sep 1827 in Putnam, Middlesex, Ontario. (1672). Seth Thomas' twin is Susannah. His grandson, Warner Herkimer Putnam, prepared a short sketch of Seth Putnam. He states that "in 1795, when his grandfather emigrated to Canada, there were no roads from the head of the lake (where Hamilton now stands), but an Indian trail led for 215 miles into the country, and the Indians were numerous. In 1805, Seth Putnam contracted with the local government to build a wagon road from the head of the lake to Chatham on the Thames, 18 miles east of Lake St Clair, a distance of 160 miles through a heavily wooded country. For this he was to receive 1600 acres of land and a cash bonus. He built the road but never received his reward. After the death of Seth his son commenced proceedings to recover from the government what was due, but the outbreak of the rebellion of 1837 put an end to the matter." He was a private in Captain Samuel Wetherbee's company, Colonel Isaac Wymann's regiment, which marched to reinforce the Northern army in June, 1776. According to his gravestone which was erected in 1847, states that he was born at Charlestown, NH, in 1758, an officer in the Revolutionary army. His son Thomas is authority for the statement that he was a member of the "Boston Tea Party."
