Henry Putnam was born on 14 Aug 1712 in Salem Village (1428, 1429). He Baptized 17 Aug 1712 in Salem Village (1430). Died 19 Apr 1775 in Lexington, Middlesex, MA (1431, 1432). Killed during the Rev War. The vital record reads "killed in the Engagement with the Regulars ay Menotomy." He was buried on 21 Apr 1775 in Medford, Middlesex, MA (1433). On pages 142 and 267 of the Middlesex Sessions Rolls of 1766, it is recorded that Henry Putnam, wife Hannah, sons Roger, Billings, Benjamin, Henry and Joseph and a negro girl Flora, were warned from the town of Medford, MA in Middlesex county on Dec 12, 1765. Uo to now we have known the dates of birth and baptism for sons Roger (1743), Billings (1749), and Benjamin (1751). And although there is disagreement over the date of birth of son Henry, we know he was baptized in 1753. All four sond are recorded so in the Salem and DAnvers vital records. However, the last named son, Joseph, has up until now been unknown of. I have recently dicovered further documentation of this Joseph, the 8th son of Henry and Hannah. Henry was at the outbreak of the Revolution living with his son at West Cambridge. He was a sergeant at the campture of Louisburg.

He married Hannah Boardman (dau of John Boardman and Mary Billings) on 23 Jun 1736 in Preston, New London, CT (1434). Hannah born 20 Oct 1718 in Preston. (1435). She died 5 Sep 1808 in Newburyport, Essex, MA (1436). Henry and Hannah children:

Allen was born in 1734 in Salem. Allen was a private in Capt Israel Herrick's company of scouts in Maine. He enlisted 30 Apr 1757.
