At the 4-6-1721 probate of the will of his father, Leonard Wayman, he inherited a parcel of land called Overwood (Ovenwood) Thickett on the Patuxent River. He also inherited a 57 acre adjoining property called Wayman March (Marsh). He and his brother, Leonard, were to jointly receive these other properties: The Brotherhood, "lying upon Robenhood's Forest and Tangier, located at the head of South River. The residue of his father's personal estate was also to be shared equally by Edmund and his brother, Leonard.This information was found at Ancestry.com in the Maryland Calendar of Wills, Vol. 5.
Event-Misc
On 3-9-1737 Edmund sold the 200 acre property called Ovenwood (or Overwood) Thicket which he inherited from his father, Leonard, to Thomas Rutland. The property was described as being level, good and well timbered and along with the 30 acre adjoining Howard's Addition contained a cleared plantation, a dwelling house, a new tobacco house, and a young apple orchard of about 200 trees.Ovenwood Thicket changed hands again to Benjamin Howard in 1738 who also bought about 30 acres of adjoining land from John and Mary Fowler at the same time.
