A record of Margaret Sherrill as a witness in a court case in Augusta County, Virginia, on 8-22-1746, suggests that her husband William Sherrill may not be living at the time. The nature of the law suit is not clear, but seldom would a woman be called as a witness unless she is a widow.Her death is after 8-22-1746, probably in Augusta Co., VA.
