Three of Elias Dodson's descendants married children of Washington Shelton, son of Bennett and grandson of Thomas and Jane Shelton.He was living in Hickman County, TN in 1840; died in Council Bend, Hickman County in 1847.
His son Marshall Dodson was living in Hickman County by 1835, and later in Perry County, TN.
His son Claiborne Bird Dodson moved from Hickman County, TN to Perry County, TN about 1850.
His son Newton married Nancy Sugg in Dickson County, Tn in 1846 and later lived in Perry County, TN.
