Harold Charles Manning Jr.

MANNING, Harold C. 75, died July 27,2007 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Florida, after complications following brain surgery. He was born in Dayton, Ohio and lived in Palm City, Florida for the past 15 years and was a long time resident of Columbus, Ohio. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard. Before retirement he was a co-founder of Accurate Manufacturing of Grove City, Ohio. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Stuart, Florida where he served as Treasurer. He was also a Member of Martin Downs Country Club and was past President. He was a founding member of Hickory Golf Club in Grove City. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in mechanical engineering. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hawthorne Manning; step- son James (Jet) Hawthorne of Worthington Ohio; step-daughters Patricia Hawthorne Howard also from Worthington Ohio and Alice Hawthorne Vargo of Cordova, Tennessee; sons, John Manning of Delaware, Ohio; Mike Manning of Englewood, Ohio, and Tonya Ogden of Columbus, Ohio; sister Shirley Manning Gross of Miamisburg, Ohio, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, USAF veteran, Douglas Manning. A Memorial Service celebrating Harold's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio where family will receive friends one hour prior to service. The family will provide an opportunity at the celebration for those friends who would like to share their thoughts and experiences about Harold.
