Robin Adair DonRussello, 69, a D.C. police officer from the late 1960s to 1984, died May 2 at a veteran’s assisted living center in Lake City, Fla. The cause was chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure, said his ex-wife, Theresa DonRussello-Anson.
Mr. DonRussello, a native Washingtonian, was a Vietnam War veteran and received the Bronze Star Medal. Soon after, he joined D.C. police and was assigned to the traffic division as a motorcycle officer. He later served in a precinct in Southwest Washington. He moved to Lake City in 2012.
