The Sketch of the Skeel family was obtained from Rev. Samuel Alvabel Skeele in 1853, & was given to Chipman Skeels in 1906 by Andrew L. Skeele. Edythe Wilson Thoesen used the following format in 1950s in The Skeel Family of CT (most from Chipman & his 6th Edition 1931 & his team). Charles W. Skeele did family charts 5 Apr 1945, and many Skeels contributed to a family compilation Skeels Descendants & Ancestry 1990s. In the past 2 years facts found on Ancestry, Find-A-Grave, Wikitree Search, and now Family Search the latter in bold print also. Old original documents are yellowing. Some folks are not aware of the Lines of John Skell/John Skeels/John Skeel of CT. (23 Mar 2020)

Note: Agnes Bruce/Agnis Bruse b. to Bestny Brise (Film # 1818426) /Bestney Bruce/Bestiny Bruce/Bruse. Bestney Bruce buried 6 Apr 1648 Chatteris Cambridge England (# 1818426) or 1 Apr 1648 (#1818426). Bestney Bruce m. Joane.
Children: Annis Bruce, Mary Bruce, John Bruce, Joane Bruce, & Steeven Bruse.

Buried in White Oak Cemetery. Original “sandstone” stone in museum.

A Sibling Jo I believe.
Dr. Wilbur Skeels a Pastor who came to US in 1960s from New Zealand. He wrote Dr. Dorr Skeels a geologist of Storrs CT. Of the three possibilities that Dr. Dorr found in a Library in Chatteris in England, this was the one because Wilbur found John’s baptismal date in 1647 so I’m confident this is the father. sds
