Mrs. Ruth DeFreis, 66, of Havensville died Saturday in a Topeka hospital. She was born April 7, 1895, at Avoca, and lived in that community all her life. Survivors include her widower, Lester DeFreis of her home; one son, Nathan DeFreis of Quincy, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Catherine Guilsdorf of Onaga and Mrs. Anna Marie Cooper of Dayton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Hollis of Manhattan and Mrs Laura Cotton of Havensville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Padden funeral home in Holton with burial in the Holton cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth DeFries of Havensville were held Monday at 2:00 p. m. at the Padden Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in the Holton cemetery.
Mrs. DeFries, 66, was born April 7, 1895 at Avoca and lived in that community all of her life. She had been in ill health for some time and hospitalized several weeks before her death last Saturday.
She is survived by her husband, Lester DeFries of the home; one son, Nathan DeFries of Quincy, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Gilsdorf of Onaga and Mrs. Anna Marie Cooper of Dayton, Ohio; nine grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Hollis of Manhattan and Mrs. Laura Cotton of Havensville.
