Individual Details
Mary Byrd
(26 Feb 1683 - 1764)
When William Byrd I made his will in 1700 he specifically referred to his daughter Mary as a single woman and to his other daughters by their married names. In The Secret Diary of William Byrd II of Westover (brother of Mary Byrd), William makes specific references as early as 1709 and as late as 1721 to his brother-in-law James Duke and his sister "Duke" visiting with one another at the Duke's home and also at Westover. Therefore it is highly unlikely that Mary Byrd, daughter of Wm. Byrd I & Maria Horsmanden, was ever married to John Rogers.
Some believe that John Rogers was married to Rachel Eastman, daughter of a George Eastman and Mary Bird.
The date of birth & marriage as shown here are found in many place in the Internet; however, Mary would have been too old to have had the last two children.
