Telegrapher for the Missouri Pacific Railraod. Attended telegrapher's school in Dallas at age 14. Worked in Greenwood Junction OK, Van Buren AR, St Louis MO, Kansas City.
Rosco was his brother's best man when he married Adda, and Ruth Waters, Adda's best friend was maid of honor. Rosco and Ruth eventually married.

HAYS
Fred N. Hays, 62, of 4421 Windsor, died yesterday at St. Mary's hospital. He was born at Van Buren, Ark., and had been a resident here seventeen years. Mr. Hays was a telegrapher for the Missouri Pacific railroad. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret E. Hays of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Gibson, Oklahoma City, OK.; his mother, Mrs. Olivia Hays, Oklahoma City, and a grandson. Funeral services and burial will be held Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
