Nathaniel's first wife's name is unknown. He married 2nd to Mary Ellis Mattox who was the mother of at least nine of ten known children. Both Nathaniel & his brother Samuel were Baptist ministers who supported the Revolution.
Married Mary Ellis. At least one descendant line went from Hanover Co VA to Garrard Co KY, then Crawford Co AR and on to Kansas. PDA Lineage of Jean Kershaw pub Jan 2001, Vol XX, #1 of Newsletter gave birth and death information.
