Bobbie Jean Scranton Foil - Born November 20, 1936 in Seminole, OK to Goldie Ann Hadow (sic-Haden) and William Henry Scranton, died October 5, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband Sidney Foil who died on Friday, April 25, 2014. She is survived by daughter Cynthia (James) Farslow; son, Reginald Foil; grandchildren, Cameron Farslow and Tania Foil; step-daughters, Janet (Jim Alden and Callie Masten. Bobbie graduated from Hobbs High School in 1945. She attended Eastern New Mexico University 1954-55 and was President of Beta Tau Chi Soroity. She married April 13, 1956 to Ben Dudley Mason, divorced August 5, 1959. She moved to Albuquerque in June, 1959, where she met Sidney Lanier Fail whom she married on September 12, 1959. Bobbie worked early in her life as an accompanist on the piano, and then as a bookkeeper. Later she worked for Vernon Company selling specialty advertising items. Bobbie was very active with Pajarito Thunderbird Club, and at Del Norte Baptist Church. Services will be held at Wednesday October 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Del Norte Baptist Church.


Sidney was born 19 Jun 1924 in Arizona; died 25 Apr 2014, Albuquerque. He werved in the US Army during W W II and has a military grave marker.

Sidney is survived by his spouse, Bobbie J. Foil of whom he was married to for 54 years, daughters, Janet (Jim) Alden, and Cynthia (James) Farslow, son, Reginald Foil, brother, David Foil, grandchildren, Cameron and Tania and step-daughter, Callie Masten.
Sidney was a World War II Veteran, Tenth Mountain Infantry. Sidney loved working on cars and helping build churches. Visitations for Sidney will be on Tuesday at Reflection of Life Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Del Norte Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
