Gwendolyn McKeever Blount, 82, of Camden, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 11, 2006.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1924, in Oakhill, Okla., and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God in Camden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claudy C. McKeever; two daughters, Janie and Leona McKeever; and one son, Larry Blount.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bobby Lee (Jewel) Blount; six sons and five daughters, Jack and Pauline McKeever of Simms, Texas, Sue and George Beall, Phillip and Jean McKeever, Sharon and Roger Bivings, Claudy McKeever and Glenda Heathman, all of Idabel, Okla., Nancy Stabile of El Dorado, Bobby and Susan Blount of Huntsville, Ala., Jerry and Lavina Blount, Sid and Debra Laney, of Camden, and Danny and Pam Blount of Paris, Te x as.
She is also survived by two brothers, Orvill Allen Claborn of Hayford, Calif., and Chester Claborn of Anderson, Calif.; one sister Carolyn Odell Trustee of Wright City, Okla.; 31 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her church, her family, gardening and above all, God. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Monday at Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God in Camden. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. in Eagletown Cemetery in Eagletown, Okla. The Rev. Beauford Rash will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God.
