Individual Details
Daniel Jenckes
(19 Apr 1663 - 1736)
Catherine was the widow of Isaac Allen at the time of her marriage to Daniel Jenckes.
Daniel was the town clerk at Attleboro, 1699 and served as a selectman from 1697 until 1704.
Daniel's will was proved 15 Mar 1635.
The Genealogical Dictionary had a second marriage for Daniel and says: Mary was the 2nd wife of her uncle Daniel. Daniel's brother Samuel did have a daughter Mary but I have not found this connection elsewhere. Some have said he married his niece, daughter of Joseph II and Esther Ballard, but this seems most unlikely.
Daniel was buried in the Gov. Joseph Jencks Lot, now nonexistent, Pawtucket, Providence, RI.
