Visitation is scheduled from 9 am to 9 pm today at Walton Funeral Home, Reno, for Maurice Lahey Irwin, 58, who died Wednesday at his residence.
A native of Newton, Iowa, he was born Oct. 12, 1928 and had been a Reno resident for the past 22 years, coming from Sacramento, Calif.
Irwin retired in 1986 from Martin Iron Works, where he had worked since 1964. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his widow, Mary, and a son, Mark, both of Reno; mother, Ella irwin of Anderson, Calif.; stepsons William Cooper of Carson City, Kenneth Cooper of Fredricksburg, VA, and Michael Cooper of Lodi, Calif.; daughter Cheryl Irwin of Ogden, Utah, stepdaughter, Patti Crannell of Provo, Utah; sister, Anita Krause of Ventura, Calif.,; one hephew; two nieces; and eight grandchildren.
A graveside funeral is scheduled for 3 pm Friday at Mountain View Cemetery.
