CHENOA - Richard Joseph Shepler Sr., 84, of Muskogee, Okla., died Wednesday (March 14, 2001) at Muskogee.

Mr. Shepler was born Oct. 17, 1916, at Oakland, Calif., a son of John Clifford and Josephine Anne Resinovic Shepler. Her married Mary Belle Ridge. He later married Ruth Margaret Statler. She preceded him indeath.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lou Berryhill and Donna Clara Stover, both of Muskogee; and Virginia Marie Sloan, Whitney, Texas; two sons, Richard Joseph Shepler, Jr., Muskogee, and Gene Ronald Shepler, Washington, PA; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and one daughter.
