Donald was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Sandra Price, on January 27, 1967, in Richmond. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage prior to her death in 2013.
He retired after working 46 years for Belden. Donald did not like to sit idly around. He was always on the go. He enjoyed traveling, going to flea markets looking for antiques, studying history, doing research on his family history, and had a love for animals. His favorite times were spent with his family. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a member of the Belden 25 years Club.
