Elvis Marvin Steele died 24 May 1957 at his home 219 Co. Willow, Pecos, Reeves Co. of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. He was born 7 Apr 1928 in Wright City OK. He was divorced; had worked as a roughneck in the oilfields. His father was Robert Steele; his mother Viola Skieenes, both born in Arkansas. Viola Steele appears to have been the informant although the signature is difficult to read. Buried Fairview Cemetery, Pecos, May 26th.

Last Rites set at Pecos Today
Last rites for Elvis Morris (sic) Steele, 29-year-9ld Pecos residen who died in his home Friday evening following a long illness, were tentatively set for today in the North Temple Baptist Church of Pecos. Rev. Price Mathieson was to officiate, assisted by Rev. Rube Patillo.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery her.
Survivors include the mother, Mrs. Viola Steele, Pecos; tow brothers, Orville of Kermit and Ivan Steel of Sweetwater; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Wallace of Douglas, Ariz., and Miss Elaine and Miss LaVerne Steele, both of Pecos.
