Hazel Comstock Fears, 83, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Thursday, July 6, 1995, at her home. She was a retired third grade teacher at City Heights Elementary School and the widow of Ted Fears. She was a member of Wood Memorial Christian Church and the church choir, Garden Gate Garden Club and Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and a member and past worthy matron of the Fidelity Chapter of the Van Buren Eastern Star.
Survivors include one sister, Alma of Versallis, Ill; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday at Ocker Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rupert Pixley and the Rev. Bruce Breeding officiating. Burial was at Macedonia Cemetery near Uniontown under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Order of Eastern Star, Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and Garden Gate Garden Club.
