Geraldine Louise Hill, 78, of 1804 Quaker St. passed away at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Pekin Hospital.
She was born March 22, 1930, in Peoria to George Edward and Priscilla Mary (Lambie) Curfman. She married Charles William "Bill" Hill on Oct. 29, 1949, in Clarksdale, Miss. He died Oct. 25, 2002, in Pekin.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald E. (Nancy) Hill of Pekin and Randy L. (Denisa) Hill of McDaniels, Ky.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eunice (Jack) Ramsey of Pekin.
She began working for Centel and later for Sprint for a total of 29 years, retiring in 1993 as a plant clerk in the central office equipment department.
She was a member of Community of Christ in Pekin, formerly known as Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Geraldine enjoyed reading, watching movies and doing yard work.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
