Pekin - Charles Guy Hill, 72, of 1806 Quaker died at 5:45 am Sunday at Pekin Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been ill for four years.
His funeral will be at 1 pm Tuesday at the Kuecks-Woolsey Funeral Home with Elder Harold Walker officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today.
He was born July 9, 1901, at Beardstown, a son of Charles and Stella Briggs Hill. He married Ethel Avery, May 22, 1923, at Beardstown.
Surviving are his wife: two sons, William and James, Pekin; a daughter, Mrs. Norine Blumb, Tremont; a foster son, Kenneth Klemme, Muskego, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Alice Crowell, Springfield, 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
