LAFAYETTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan 26, 2011 at 2 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Mr. Lynn "Junior" Robinson, Jr., 84, who passed away with his family at his side on Sunday, Jan 23, 2011, at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana in Lafayette.
Entombment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette...
A native of Patmos, Arkansas, Junior was born Thursday, September 16, 1926 and was a long-time residen of Lafayette. He was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S.Navy during WWII, and devoted his entire career to the oilfield...
Junior is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty Thibodaux Robinson of Lafayette. He leaves behind five children, Kathy Robinson Irvine and her husband Billy of Woodville, TX; Kerry Robinson and his wife Gayla of The Woodlands, TX; karen Robinson Peska of Plano, TX; nichole Robinson Bautheir and her husband Devin of Miramar, FL, and Jennifer Lynn Robinson Sessa and her husband Michael of Long Beach, CA; and eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren...
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn Elgard Robinson, Sr., an the former Carrie Cox; and his brother Billy Doyle Robinson.
