When arraigned in municipal court Monday, Charles Rogers was sentenced to six months in the Dayton workhouse on a charge of abandoning a minor child; Elmer Basham, who endeavored Saturday to secrete $25 of alleged stolen money in his shoe while standing in front of the police station, $25 and costs on a charge of petty larceny; J. P. Blackwell, $10 and costs for pointing firearms; and Walter Winkler, John Armstrong, and Charles Stockhouse each were fined $5 and costs on charges of intoxication.

Russell Winkler, age 19, and Raymond Winkler, age 20, cousins, were burned to death late Friday night in a fire that partly destroyed a house at 1135 South Fourteenth Stree.
Official investigtion closed today with the report that both youths were allegedly too intoxicated to help themselves and were suffocated in the fire that was caused shen an old lamp was overturned.
