Fort Smith, Ark. - Earl A. Bartin, 81, a retired US Army major, died Tuesday in Fort Smith, Ark.
Funeral: 2 pm Friday at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Burial: National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Visitation: 7-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Earl A. Barton was born Jun 9, 1915 in Fort Worth. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge in McAlester, Okla., lifetime member of the DAV and served in the US Army for 28 years. He served during World War II, the Korean conflict, and Vietnam.
Survivors: Wife, Mattie E. Barton; son, John Barton of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.,; daughter, Linda Barton of Fort Smith, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Carole Barton of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; sister, Louise Hart of Fort Worth.
