Jorden W. Reeves died in Alexandria, Monroe Co on 6 Jul 1922 of aortic insufficiency. He was married to Mary E. Reeves. Born 26 Jul 1855 in Indiana, a retired farmer. Father, John Reeves; mother - Elizabeth Longmyer, both born in Virginia. Mrs. Jordan Reeves was the informant. Buried July 8th.

Jordan W. Reeves, 66, Expires from Leakage of the Heart.
Jordan W. Reeves, well known citizen on the southside, died last night about 9 o'clock from leakage of the heart.
Mr. Reeves was 66 years, 11 months, and 10 days old at the time of his death. He was a native of Tennessee and came to this vicinity at the age of 6 years with his parents and has resided here since. Six years ago he came to Alexandria and took up his residence at 615 South Harrison Street.
Deceased has been in poor health the past three years. Yesterday he was downtown, but went home to prepare supper for his wife who has been bedfast with a fractured leg, which she received about six weeks ago.
About eight o'clock last night hewas stricken with a hemorrhage and a little later passed away while sitting in a chair.
Mr. Reeves is survived by his widow, who was formerly Mary E. Phillips; four sons, Ted L. Reeves of Fairmount; Harry B. of Kalamazoo, Mich., Byron M. of Muncie, and Kenneth Reeves, of Alexandria. Three brothers, John and James Reeves of Alexandria, and German of Muncie, and seven grandchild, also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon by Rev. Frank Morris of Kokomo. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery at that place.
