Virgil H. Mossberger, 71, of Ironton, MO, formerly of Evansville, died yesterday in a St. Louis, MO, hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Mossberger, who had worked for the Louisville & Nashville Railraod, left this area about 25 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia; sons, Wayne of 3201 Austin and Harold V. of Haubstadt; a daughter Mrs. Marie Grisham of Evansville; brothers, Melvin of rural Orchard Road, Norman of 3015 Hartmetz, and Harry of Los Angeles, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Irene Kettler of 1007 Mary; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 pm Friday at the Ironton Baptist Church with burial in the Doe Run, MO, cemetery.
