Thomas W. Lingle, 85, of Marshall MO died Wednesday, June 1, 1994, at his home.
Thomas was born Dec. 13, 1908, in Fortuna MO to the late James J. and Nellie E. White Lingle. He married Jessie Marie Spencer on Sept. 1, 1940.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon Emeritus, served as Church Clerk for 20 years and taught Sunday school for 15 years. Thomas had also served as Sunday school superintendent and treasurer of the Saline Baptist Association since 1978.
Thomas was a 1931 graduate of the Central Business College and retired in 1972 from the Marshall Habilitation Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served 11 years in the Missouri National Guard. He also served on the Marshall City Council.
