CENTRAL CITY — Donald Paul Combs, 77, of Central City died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, in his home. He was born April 22, 1934, in Logan County. He was a retired custom decorator in the drapery department for J.C. Penney in Fort Smith, worked for Dixie Cup in Fort Smith, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 208, was past president local and past Arkansas state president, a member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a 1952 County Line High School graduate.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial at Caulksville Cemetery under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Vera; three daughters, Paula Schoen, Tonya Fagan and Josie Combs, all of Central City; two sons, Donald and James Combs, both of Central City; a sister, Ann Chastain of Caulksville; a brother, Leon Combs of Barling; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
