Junior Wright "J.W." Jones, 85, of Tecumseh, passed away, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his home in Tecumseh. J.W. was born on October 5, 1926 to Lee Wright and Del Ray (Keylon) Jones in Okarche, OK. He was raised in Okarche and Brentwood, Arkansas and attended Brentwood Public Schools. J.W. proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII and Korea. He married Wanda Cooper on June 5, 1970 in Moore, OK. J.W. raised his family in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Oklahoma City. He lived throughout Oklahoma and Brentwood Arkansas. He recently moved to the Tecumseh area. J.W. worked for Peterbuilt for many years as a Diesel Mechanic. J.W. attended New Hope Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian and family man. He looked out for others and always had a helping hand. J.W.'s family always came first in his life. Together J.W. and Wanda loved to travel. He loved the great outdoors which included fishing and camping. He was preceded by his parents; son, Timothy Jones; six brothers, James, Frank, Ewin, Roy, Robert and Richard Jones, two sister; Mary Ramey and Sylvia Schroeder. J.W. is survived by his wife Wanda (Cooper) Jones of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sherry Jones, of Camas Washington and Don Browder, of Dallas, Texas; 4 Daughter and 3 sons-in-law, Phyllis and Clayton Abbott, of Oklahoma City, Brenda and Scott Leavell, of Texas, Glenda and John Wesley, of McLoud, and Karen and Lee Walker, of Bethel Acres; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marriage

Wanda Jones, 85, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed way, Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Shawnee.
She was born on December 23, 1927 to Floyd and Josephine Marie (Reinhart) Cooper in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Wanda was raised in St. Louis, Oklahoma and attended St. Louis Public Schools. She graduated with the class of 1947 from St. Louis High School.
She married Junior Wright "J.W." Jones on June 5, 1970 in Moore, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2011.
Wanda lived in Oklahoma City for many years until retiring and moving to Sulphur, Oklahoma before moving to Tecumseh where she has resided since.
She worked for Hartford Insurance as an administrative assistant until her retirement.
Wanda was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her family always came first. She loved to travel the country with her husband, J.W. in their 5th wheel. Wanda enjoyed shopping and arts and crafts, her dog Kandy and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, "J.W." Jones; two daughters, Brenda Lee Browder and Karen Walker; and brother, Sonny Cooper.
Wanda is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Don Browder, of Dallas, Texas and Gary and Sherry Jones, of Camas, Washington; 3 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Phyllis and Clayton Abbott, of Oklahoma City, Brenda Levett, of Denton, Texas, Glenda and John Wesley, of McLoud and Lee Walker, of Bethel Acres; sister, Betty King, of Ada, Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
