Services were held at B. C. Wallace & Sons Funeral Home in Stockton for Jesse Phillips, 70, who passed away September 1, 1979, at his home in Stockton after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie, and six children; Geneva Holman, Rhonda Kay Willie, Gary Phillips, all of Stockton; Bob Phillips, Linden Shirley of Oregon and Jesse Leon of Pine Grove, California,; 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He also leaves 13 brothers and sisters, Nettie Gregg of Arizona; Orville Phillips of Manteca, Etta weatherford of Ripon; Gertrude McGrew of Webber Falls, Oklahoma; Darlene Lawson and Joyce Phillips of Oklahoma; Baxter Phillips of Oklahoma; Lois Blackwood, Dorothy Fisher, Harvey, Clinton and Charles Phillips of Kansas and William Phillips of Oregon.
