WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - Richard Alvin Wright, 66, of rural West Liberty, Iowa, died April 4, 2007. Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Henderson-Barker, West Branch. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today. Richard worked 37 years at AT&T/Lucent Technologies. Survivors include his wife, Nancy, and his children, Becky Wright-Sedam, Greenwich, N.Y., and Jeffrey and Dan, both of rural West Branch.

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - Richard Alvin Wright, 66, of rural West Liberty, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at home surrounded by his loving family.
The Rev. George White will officiate. Burial will be in the Springdale Friend's Cemetery on Fox Avenue.
Memorial donations may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
Mr. Wright was born Jan. 27, 1941, in Adair, the son of the late Don J. Wright and Harriett Melvina Miller.
He attended high school in Menlo. He attended Northwest Missouri State, Maryville, Mo. He worked for AT&T/Lucent Technologies for 37 years. He enjoyed bird watching, fishing and sports, particularly watching West Branch football.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of 43 years; a daughter, Becky Wright-Sedam and husband Jeffrey and their children, Jay and Warren of Greenwich, N.Y.; two sons, Jeffrey Wright and wife Joy and their children, Brittney, Zachary and Logan of rural West Branch and Dan Wright and wife Karen of rural West Branch; seven siblings, Janet Wright, Donald Wright, and Deloris Jacobsen, all of Menlo, Mary Costello of Fairbank, Judy Pratt of Perry, Linda Powell of Newton and Harold Wright of Foristell, Mo.; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Roy Wright; and a sister, Betty Stugelmeyer.
