Weldon Lewis Price passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at his home in Pilot Point. He was born on June 2, 1924 at Gunter to Oscar and Lura Adamson Price. He graduated from Gunter High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a teletype operator. He married Helen Delories Brown on Nov. 16, 1947 in Weatherford. She predeceased him on March 21, 1984. He married Patsy Dean Knapp on Oct. 13, 1991 in Keller. Weldon was a retired farmer. He was a member of Mustang Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a past president of the Pilot Point I.S.D. school board. He was one of the founding directors of the Mustang Water Corporation and a member of Ford Masonic Lodge 270. Visitation will be from 6 -8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 at Slay Memorial Funeral Center, Aubrey. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, Pilot Point, with Dr. Jamison Work and Dr. Jimmy Law officiating. Burial will follow at Pilot Point Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert DeJernett, Johnny Hudson, Lowell Shearer, Paul Sitzes, Gerald Slater, James Strittmatter and Mike Alexander. Weldon is survived by his wife, Patsy Price; sons Bobby, Paul and Jerry Price, all of Pilot Point; grandchildren Amy Fischer, Jeff, Travis, Brandon, Taylor and Evan Price; great-grandson Hayden Lewis Fischer. He is also survived by sisters Alma Leathers of Stockton, Calif., Nelda Owen of Fort Worth, and Lometa Gay of Santa Rosa, Calif.; brothers Floy Price of Hurst, and Don Price of Sherman. He was predeceased by sister, Maurine Orr and brothers, Robert Price and Doyle Price. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., Greater Dallas Chapter, 4144 N. FORT WORTH - Nelda Emma Owen, 88, passed away on July 30, 2011 in her home.
Visitation will be at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth 4-6 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral Services, led by her granddaughter Reverend Erin Grant, and husband, Reverend Rob Grant, will be at Stephenville Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow at Huckabay Cemetery.
Nelda was born Nov. 1, 1922. She was the middle child of Oscar and Lura Price. She and her eight brother and sisters were raised on their family's farm near Gunter.
Nelda graduated from Gunter High School in 1941. At 20, she married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Owen They had two children, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. For many years, she was active with her husband in the Moslah Shrine Motor Corps. Nelda retired from International Service Life Insurance Company.
Nelda is preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers; Robert, Weldon, and Doyle Price, and sister Maurine Orr.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; son, Ronnie; daughter, Jan Oates; grandson, Byron Oates; granddaughter, Erin Grant; grandson-in-law, Rob Grant; great-granddaughters, Emma and Savannah; brothers, Floy and Don Price; and sisters, Alma Leathers and Lometa Gay.
