Thomas Angell was one of the first six persons to reach Providence at age 19. Came with Roger Wiliams. Said to be legal heir of estate of William Angell of Liverpool.
Last Will & Testament. Names son John Angell. Son James Angell. Daughter Anphillis Smith. Daughter Mary Arnold. Daughter Deborah Sabeere. Daughter Alice Whipple, Daughter Margery Whipple. Loving wife Alice Angell. Sons John & James are to care & provide for wife Alice during the term of her widowhood. Wife Alice and son James to be Executrix & Executor. 23 May 1685. Witnesses Thomas Olney, Nathaniel Waterman, Epenetus Olney. Will proved 18 Sep 1694. Recorded 15 Aug 1711.
