Lora E. Lansaw
Lora E. Lansaw, age 95, Joplin, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2003 at her home after an illness.
Mrs. Lansaw was born Dec. 20, 1907 in Ridgeley, Mo. to the late Bert Elmer Bunch and Nellie Powell Bunch and had lived in the area most of her life.
A homemaker, she worked several years in home health care in San Jose, Calif.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Heartland Doll Club, Joplin.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God.
She married Worthy Faye Lansaw on July 10, 1924 in Neosho, Mo. He passed away Dec. 21, 1966.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Lansaw, Quapaw, Okla., Lewarren Lansaw and John William Lansaw, both of Joplin; four daughters, Lora Metcalf, Joplin, Joyce Elaine Robinson, Wyandotte, Okla. Sherra Yvonne Cognetti and Janice Marie Lansaw, Both of Sonora, Calif.; one brother, John Bunch, Temple, Texas; three sisters, Mildred Webber, Lowell, Kan., Mable Hughes, Denver, Colo., Ella Mae Neville, Loveland, Colo.; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Lora was preceded in death by two sons; three daughters; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God, 1508 Virginia. Rev. Wallace Joice and Rev. Lucky Webber will officiate.
Interment will follow at Fariview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Lee Metcalf, Jerry Wayne Metcalf, Larry Gene Metcalf, Dennis Points, Eddie Webber and Ronnie Metcalf.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God or the St. John's Hospice.
