Glenna Marie Johnson Hyre returned home on her birthday May 11, 1999 at the age of 74.
She was born May 11, 1925 in Hazard, Kentucky to John Bartram and Mary Myrtle Sergent Johnson. She married Norman Louis Hyre February 2, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple on January 7, 1955. Glenna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Norman.
She is survived by her son, Michael L. and his wife Vickie; grandchildren, Norman L. II, Sean M., Eric J. and his wife Jamie, Michele L., and Ian; sisters, Opal Estelle and Virginia Bess; and brothers, Jack Hurst and William Borden.
Her life was genealogy and there will be thousands of happy reunions beyond the veil.
Mom, we love you. Be happy, be with grandpa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, 1999 11 a.m. at the Lake Ridge 15th Ward, 7525 Washington Rd. (3715 South). Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
