Edna Armstrong, 65, of Sycamore, Ill., passed away after a short illness Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at home with her family at her side.
Born July 18, 1941, in Cherry Valley, Ark., she was the daughter of Raymond Edward Cleveland and Myrtle (Stark) Cleveland. She married Delanard "Dee" Armstrong on Feb. 1, 1958, in Hernando, Miss.
She was the office manager at Wynn's Freight Co. for more than 18 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Sycamore.
She is survived by a daughter, Belinda (Bill) Fadely of Baltimore, Md.; three sons, Bob (Tami) Armstrong of Sycamore, Gene (Patty) Armstrong of Belvidere and Jeff (Tricia) Armstrong of Sycamore; 12 grandchildren, Matt, Brad and Brent Stevenson, April and Sarena Armstrong, Jordan and Austin Armstrong, Gage, Brody and Mallory Armstrong and William and Patrick Fadely; two sisters, Eunice (Roy) Jones of Philadelphia, Miss., and Jane (Jim) Langford of Ripley, Tenn.; a brother, R.E. (Joanne) Cleveland of Cabot, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2003; a brother, Earl Cleveland; and an infant sister.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at First Baptist Church, 530 W. State St. in Sycamore, with the Rev. Stephen Persson officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 21, at the church.
